We arrive at Oswaldtwistle Mills late morning with free time before our tour.  With your guide we travel into the North East Lancashire country side with its beautiful scenery and historic villages. The tour offers an insight into the sad demise of the Pendle Witches, who were accused, tried and found guility of witchcraft in 1612.

In the Pendle villages of Roughlee and Barley, you’ll learn of the sad tale of Alice Nutter, Elizabeth Southerns (Demdike) and Anne Whittle (Chattox), who were accused, tried and found guilty of witchcraft in 1612 in what is now one of the most famous witch trials in English history. Admire the magnificent scenery, gaze at the moody hulk of Pendle Hill and see the ‘eye of God’ in the tower of St. Mary’s Church.
