Monday: Journey to Scarborough
Begin your adventure with a relaxed morning coach journey as we make our way straight to Scarborough. Sit back and enjoy the scenic drive through the Yorkshire countryside, passing rolling hills and charming villages along the way. Arrive in Scarborough in the late afternoon, check in to your hotel and take some time to unwind. Enjoy a gentle stroll along the seafront or relax with a drink in the hotel lounge as you soak up the coastal atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy a delicious hotel dinner and settle in for the night, ready for the exciting days ahead exploring the town, visiting attractions or simply enjoying the seaside views.
Tuesday: Explore Hull
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll set off for a full day of exploration in Hull, a vibrant city rich in culture and history. Visit Burton Constable Hall, a magnificent Elizabethan country house where you can step back in time. Wander through elegantly preserved rooms, admire historic furnishings and artwork and take a peaceful stroll around the expansive parkland and gardens.
After a rewarding day of discovery, we’ll return to Scarborough in the late afternoon. Relax and enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel, then spend the evening unwinding, whether sharing stories of the day’s adventures, strolling along the seafront or enjoying a quiet drink while taking in the coastal atmosphere.
Wednesday: Leisure in Scarborough
Spend the day soaking up the vibrant charm of Scarborough. Wander along the South Bay promenade, take in the sweeping views of golden sands and watch the boats gliding across the harbour. Explore the South Cliff Gardens, stroll through the town’s historic streets and discover the character and beauty of this classic seaside resort. For a taste of culture and history, visit the Open Air Theatre or enjoy the scenery from one of the dramatic cliff-top viewpoints. Pause for a coffee or a treat at a seafront café or simply relax and listen to the waves. In the evening, return to the hotel for a delicious dinner, rounding off a perfect day by the sea.
Thursday: A Day in York
After a delicious breakfast, get ready for a day of excitement and discovery in the historic city of York. Wander through winding medieval streets, admire iconic landmarks, browse boutique shops or explore fascinating museums. From the majestic Minster to the ancient city walls, York promises a day full of memorable sights, sounds and experiences for everyone.
In the late afternoon, return to Scarborough for your final hotel dinner. Spend the evening relaxing by the sea, sharing stories of your adventures and savouring the atmosphere of your last night in this beautiful coastal town.
Friday: Return Home with a Refreshing Stop
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we’ll begin our journey home. Midway, we’ll pause at Sankey Valley Park in Warrington, a peaceful green space along the historic canal. Take a leisurely stroll along the scenic paths, enjoy the fresh air or simply relax and stretch your legs before continuing the final leg of the journey. Arrive home in the late afternoon, taking with you fond memories of your Scarborough adventure.
