Itinerary

Monday – Your Devon adventure begins as we make our way to the stunning English Riviera. Arriving in Torquay by late afternoon, you’ll check into the comfortable TLH Derwent Hotel, where you can relax, settle in, and enjoy a welcome evening meal. After dinner, take advantage of the hotel’s fantastic leisure facilities or enjoy the entertainment on offer.

Tuesday – Enjoy a relaxed start to your holiday with a free day to explore Torquay. Stroll the palm-lined promenade, visit the picturesque harbour, or unwind in Princess Gardens. The TLH complex also offers indoor pools, spa, games, and daytime activities—perfect for a cosy January break.

Wednesday – After breakfast, we head east along the coast to the beloved Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth. Home to hundreds of rescued donkeys, the sanctuary offers free entry, heated indoor viewing barns, informative displays, and a lovely café with sea views. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time in the charming seaside town of Sidmouth, ideal for a winter wander along the esplanade or browsing the independent shops. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Thursday – Today we journey to the beautiful cathedral city of Exeter, rich in history and charm. Enjoy free time to explore at your own pace—perhaps visit the stunning Exeter Cathedral (entry not included), discover the historic quayside, or browse the shops and cafés in the bustling city centre. In the afternoon, we continue to the traditional seaside town of Exmouth, where you can enjoy a coastal walk or simply relax and take in the sea views. We return to the hotel in time for our final evening meal together.

Friday – After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Torquay and begin the journey home with fond memories of coastal views, friendly donkeys, and hidden historic gems.
