Burford Bridge Hotel - Dorking

Located at the foot of Box Hill, the Burford Bridge Hotel is a welcoming country hotel set in beautiful Surrey countryside. It offers a comfortable and relaxing base for our stay.

The hotel has pleasant public areas and a main restaurant where all meals are served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with en-suite facilities and include a TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, and telephone, providing a restful space after a day out.

The hotel has lift access to upper floors; guests with mobility requirements are advised to advise us at the time of booking.

 

Itinerary

Friday 24th April 2026

Sit back and relax as we travel to the beautiful Surrey countryside and arrive at the charming Burford Bridge Hotel, set at the foot of Box Hill. On arrival, enjoy a welcoming cup of tea or coffee before settling into your comfortable room. This evening, dine in the hotel’s main restaurant where a delicious three-course dinner is served, followed by tea or coffee. Relax and unwind as you look forward to the experiences ahead.

Saturday 25th April 2026

After a hearty full cooked breakfast, we head to the magnificent Hampton Court Palace, where spring is in full bloom during the spectacular Tulipmania Festival. Wander through the palace and gardens at leisure, admiring thousands of vibrant tulips set against this historic royal backdrop. Later this afternoon, enjoy a scenic river cruise with Turks Launches, travelling between Hampton Court and Kingston upon Thames, offering wonderful riverside views and a relaxing way to see the area. We return to the hotel later in the day for another enjoyable evening, dinner.

Sunday 26th April 2026:
Following breakfast at the hotel, we bid farewell to Dorking and begin our journey home, travelling via Stratford-upon-Avon for time to enjoy this elegant riverside town. With its attractive streets, stylish shops and waterside setting, it provides a delightful final stop before we continue home, taking with us lovely memories of historic palaces, colourful spring gardens and tranquil river scenery.
